The PrioVino story
The central idea behind PrioVino grew over several years, even as founder and principal shareholder Jürgen Sauer was still CEO of Mercedes Benz in Russia and later in Australia/New Zealand. As a passionate wine buff, he was well aware of the importance of the right drinking temperature for a flawless fine wine experience. And yet, he also saw how challenging it was to maintain that perfect temperature, even in fine-dining establishments, especially when the bottle had been at the table for a while.
Together with the ambitious technology expert Moritz Ortwein, he developed the idea of an innovative wine cooler for restaurants and wine connoiseurs. After extensive experimentation with a number of different technologies, the idea finally came to fruition. The flagship PrioVino Premier – a groundbreaker in the world of fine wine – was born.
